ELM Capital Founder works as both a business note broker and a real estate note buyer. Alan holds an Arizona State University MBA and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming. He is also licensed as a California Real Estate Buyer. He worked in marketing and finance for Hewlett Packard for over 18 years. Five of those years were spent in France. In 2002, he launched ELM Capital and in 2003, incorporated the company.
ELM Capital Founder has published numerous blogs and articles which have been featured in a variety of publications and websites across the country. You can find some of his previous writings in the “Blogs” section of this website.
He is heavily involved in community service activities around San Diego, California, and Phoenix, Arizona. From 2001 to 2018, he was an active member in the Rotary Club Poway-Scripps. He served as co-president from 2017-2018 and as sole club president from 2011 to 2013. He moved to Phoenix in 2018 and became an active member the Phoenix West Rotary Club. He is currently co-president.
He had served a three-year term as a director on the Board of Directors of his local YMCA. ELM Capital Founder was also active in Boy Scouts. He was an Eagle Scout in his youth, was a Cub Scout leader for five years and served on the Board of Directors of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 676 for many, many years. Alan is the father of two sons who are both Eagle Scouts.
